Étienne es un anciano enfermo que vive rodeado de toda clase de objetos que ha acumulado a lo largo del tiempo. Son recuerdos de un pasado trágico que no quiere olvidar. Su soledad diaria, sin embargo, se ve atacada por el mobbing que hace Jeanne, la propietaria del piso donde vive, que junto con los vecinos y los servicios sociales tienen por objetivo echarle de su hogar. Por su parte, Étienne no tiene ninguna intención de abandonar su piso, ya que vive aferrado a la convicción de estar conviviendo con las presencias de su mujer y su hija ya fallecidas. Un accidente doméstico dejará Étienne mal herido dentro de su vivienda. Con sus últimas fuerzas intentará pedir ayuda, pero sólo descubrirá la falta de humanidad de aquellos que le rodean.
Étienne is a sick old man who lives surrounded by all kinds of objects that he has accumulated over the time. These are memories of a tragic past which he refuses to forget. However, his daily loneliness is attacked by Jeanne, the apartment’s owner, who along with neighbors and social services want to throw him out. Nevertheless, Étienne has no intention of leaving his apartment, as he is convinced of living with the presences of his dead wife and daughter. A domestic accident leaves Étienne badly injured in his home. With its latest breath he Will try to call for help, but he will only discover the lack of humanity of those who are around him.
