SYNOPSIS

Starting from the memory of Super 8 Charlie Chaplin films that my grandfather used to project, I explore a vital and cinematic origin through family archives and objects from an old village cinema. A commission by the Cinema Museum of Girona.

SYNOPSIS

It depicts the excavation of a mass grave from the Battle of the Ebro, where the bodies, fragmented by time and agricultural machinery, are now unrecognizable. An archaeologist confirms that, like many others, these soldiers will remain anonymous.

A mosaic of a neighborhood seen from a balcony. A discreet gaze into everyday life from a distance. Small moments of life in the open air in apartment blocks on the outskirts of the city.

The fish in the river Lethe

SYNOPSIS

In ancient times, it was believed that the dead drank from the River Lethe to forget their past lives and be reborn without memories.
Metaphorically, Alzheimer’s patients are like those fish who drink too early, losing themselves before they die.

SYNOPSIS

Using this Japanese concept that speaks of the passage of time over things, we contemplate the grandmother’s house. Spaces now empty of life. Only the face of memory remains. All that’s left is to recover a piece of furniture, restore it, and give it life in a new space.
