Starting from the memory of Super 8 Charlie Chaplin films that my grandfather used to project, I explore a vital and cinematic origin through family archives and objects from an old village cinema. A commission by the Cinema Museum of Girona.

It depicts the excavation of a mass grave from the Battle of the Ebro, where the bodies, fragmented by time and agricultural machinery, are now unrecognizable. An archaeologist confirms that, like many others, these soldiers will remain anonymous.
